Upgrade to any possible new Android/ROM version
First of all, i hope I'm not the only one in this forum!
I just found my old cellphone and want to get most of it, and good to mention now, there is almost noway to use any application because this is an old Android rooted version. I even not able to use my google account to get google play!
I know what download and recovery mode are, but it's shame to say i don't know how to get there in this phone! believe or not there is no file manager here! Now I'm thinking how did i pass days with this phone!?
I did a reset factory and hoped to see some improvements, but nothing got better!
So if anyone here and read my post please help me to get a fresh start

Unable to mount internal storage
I try to reinstall a rom after some unexpected self reboots. It is s-on and the bootloader is unlocked. I wiped the data, start the installation so far so good, no errors. After a reboot and half of hour of waiting nothing happens, no progress only the htc logo on screen.
I tried to reinstall the rom, i was able to start to recovery TWRP 3.0.0.-2 but if i try to factory reset it failed.
Updating partition details..
Failed to mount '/cache' '/system' '/data' (Invalid argument) and so on.
Boot to recovery posible, boot to download mode posible. If i use the advance options, then file manager i can see a lot of folders. Boot/cache/carrier/cota/data..... but they are all empty. I use adb in recovery mode an push mkfs.ext4 to the /tmp folder it works. I create a new folder (mkdir /p /data/media/0) it works. I push a new rom to the new folder it works.
Everything i try it ends in the same result -> storage not mount.
Some other ideas, hints or tips?

LG H815 Bluetooth won't turn on
I've recently returned to stock ROM due to the camera issues on any custom ROM for the LG G4.
I've now ran in to a problem where my Bluetooth won't activate, I activate through settings, the button flips to the right as if it goes to activate but switch doesn't turn dark grey and it stays that way.
Going to another screen and coming back to settings shows that Bluetooth is switched off.
I've got a logcat dump but I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking for.

Xperia Z3 Dual (D6633) - Cannot format sd card as internal on Android 6.0
Everytime i put an sd card into the phone, i got the new sd card notification, i hit setup and the card is automatically formatted as portable ( For music, videos etc. ) Any ideas?

[Q]MiTAC Ulmo Encryption unsuccessful (android)
So i got this MiTAC Ulmo "http://ift.tt/1MNnrZ9; that was on android 2.2 (i think, can not remember as i did not think it was going to be important). So i tried to update it to android 4 with the only image i could find from "http://ift.tt/22TRyjm;. After updating, the device got stuck on the android boot screen, so i entered recovery mode (Ulmo System Recovery Mode <2012/03/30>) and did a factory reset, rebooted and got encryption unsuccessful with a non functioning "reset tablet" button. Now when i enter recovery mode there are a bunch of error messages:

Stuck at Motorola Bootlogo after Security update
Device: XT1031 converted to XT1028 for use on Page Plus. Bootloader unlocked. Rooted with SuperSU 2.46 Running Stock Verizon 5.1 ROM 221.26.7.falcon_cdma.Verizon.en.US
Recovery: TWRP 2.8.7.0
I accepted the new security update - http://ift.tt/1r4F5Oi
and when it tried to install the update, the phone just rebooted into TWRP Recovery.
So I flashed stock recovery from the Verizon 5.1 ROM and then tried the update again. This time it completed the update and rebooted but is now stuck at the Motorola bootlogo.
I'm able to reboot into fastboot.
I tried flashing system.img_sparsechunk.0, .1, .2, and .3, and rebooted but there is no change.
What can I try to get past this?
Before starting this I made a backup using TWRP Recovery, can I reinstall TWRP and restore that backup?

How's the Bluetooth with S7 (Tmo)? Issues with Senn Momentum 2 Wireless headphones
Since my usual Bluetooth headphones (V-MODA Crossfade Wireless) sounds terrible on the S7 due to the lack of aptX in the headphones, I picked up the Sennheiser Momentum 2 AEBT Bluetooth headphones. They're very highly reviewed despite issues early on with the Bluetooth; I've confirmed I have the revised version that fixes that.
But if I go outside with my S7 in a pocket, jacket or jeans, the Bluetooth audio cuts in and out. If I hold the phone in my hand or keep it on my belt clip, it usually sounds fine, but sometimes even a slight wind will cause a hiccup. I'm tempted to blame this on the headphones, because even though the V-MODAs sound terrible, they don't skip when the S7 is in my pocket. I know this can sometimes be attributed to your body causing interference, or the numerous wireless transmissions happening outside.
I'm wondering if anyone else has the Sennheiser Momentum 2 and can shed some light on this. Experience with other Bluetooth headphones would be helpful, too. Thanks.

Poor RAM management after new update
So I got the April security update yesterday, and I'm noticing RAM management is growing worse. Snapchat notifications dont come through again like they didnt on my old Note 5. Is there any logical reason for this?

(Advice ?) EMATIC Tablet update from Windows 10 32 bit to Windows 10 64 bit
I have a budget Ematic 10" Windows 10 tablet that came with Windows 10 Home OEM (32 bit) installed. It is based on the ATOM Z3735G 64 bit processor.
I don't understand why Ematic didn't install the 64 bit OS in the first place. I am considering performing a clean install of Windows 10 Home 64 bit.
I have never performed a clean Windows 10 install on a tablet. What risks are involved? Is it worth the effort for the additional performance? I would like to get some opinions from experienced developers before I launch this project.

GWD problem with fonts - Error "this font doesn't contain alphabet data"
I need help in "fixing" a TTF file.
While trying to use a TTF font in GWD, I get an error "this font doesn't contain alphabet data". This font works fine in other applications. The numbers from this font work fine. Just not the letters. The font is called White Rabbit by Matthew Welch. http://ift.tt/1swkpZ7

It has been recommended that I examine the TTF file to determine what is missing and repair the font file. How do I do this? Undecided between HTC 10 & Nexus 6P
I have LG G4 for almost 5 months and sick of it.
After all the new phones that came out, i have come to decision my next phone will be or the Nexus 6P or the new HTC 10.
Only problem is, not sure which one. HTC is my fav only because of build quality and i already know how great they are. ( Had HTC One M8 before the G4)
And I'm afraid of unknown or known issues with the Nexus 6P mostly because of Huwaiwi or whatever the name is..
I'll be glad for help, camera is very important as well as speakers.

How to lock the app in background?
On smartphones such as Huawei there is a function that allows you to lock the app in the background, for example by a slide down on an app in the multitasking appears a lock indicating that the app has been locked , and when you press on " close all " that app remains and it will not close until you unlock it by another slide down. It is possipile port this feature on other Android device? I have a OnePlus Two with OxygenOS 3.0.

"Package Installer Has Stopped"
Hi I'm 16 and new to the whole rooting thing. I just rooted my phone yesterday for the first time and everything seemed to go perfectly. Everything works so much faster and my phone looks so much nicer with the new customization features. I'm glad I finally rooted it. Then I found out that my "Package Installer" does not work. Every time I try to uninstall an app or install an APK from the browser, it says "unfortunately Package Installer has stopped." I cannot even open "My Files" due to this. I also can't do things such as enabling the weather in my status bar. I thought that maybe it was just a faulty Resurrection Remix ROM but then I have tried a few other ones now too. If anyone can help me with this one problem I would appreciate it very much.

Issue with Android Wear & Stock Messaging App?
Hey everyone! It looks like the stock Samsung messaging app (for sms/mms) is a little weird when paired with an Android Wear watch. When you swipe to look at the list of recent messages, the most recent message is buried at the bottom, instead of being at the top (quite annoying). I switched over to Messenger by Google to fix this, but just realized that I've lost the edge light up functionality when people listen on the People edge call or text me. Is there any way to have the messages not come across Android Wear backwards, and keep the People edge functionality?

After I install cimera program, I startup him. And Saying, turn off phone and connect usb, while pressing volume Up, I did that.
But nothing happend on PC, I go in Device Manager, and I see problem, Dload driver is not install, and I click on install automatic, and nothing, driver does not exist on web. I go in Control Panel, and hardware, there is a driver, I try fix it, and say restart PC, i did it, when I come back, problem with PvnP device "detection"
What I need to do? I have windows 10. Thankss.

- Unlink ringer and notification volumes. Add separated notification volume control in settings and unlink it from ringer volume control. Adds a notification volume slider in sound settings.
- Add 3 way reboot (normal, recovery, fastboot) menu
- Multiline contacts names. Disable trimming contacts with long names and display its on multiple lines.
- Add russian language support in dialer (T9). Add support for russian language in dialer T9 contacts search. After enable/disable you should rebuild T9 index in Contacts app settings.
- Add shortcut for launch dialer to lockscreen (swipe left to right). You can customize dialer package name and starting activity.
- Fix automatic brightness steps (more smooth) and minimal brightness level on some devices. You can customize brightness and backlight levels gradation.

[Bricked???] AT&T Evita firmware 5.18 - USB debugging not enabled
Hi everyone,
I have been searching for hours and hours to find a solution to my issue. While there is an invalueable amount of information on this forum, the vast quantity can be confusing to NOOBs like myself. Please forgive me if this has already been asked but I did not see anyone discuss a situation such as mine.
I have an AT&T HTC One with the following info that became stuck on the "HTC" logo and then turns off after trying a manual update. To be honest, I am not sure what firmware was attempted to be flashed because I didnt do it myself. I am just trying to help a friend here.
From what I gather, I need to either root the phone using WeakSauce and then try to unlock the bootloader via the HTCDev website. The problem is the phone doesnt boot for me to install weaksauce so I cant get root. Can someone kindly point me in the right direction?

I have been searching for hours and hours to find a solution to my issue. While there is an invalueable amount of information on this forum, the vast quantity can be confusing to NOOBs like myself. Please forgive me if this has already been asked but I did not see anyone discuss a situation such as mine.
I have an AT&T HTC One with the following info that became stuck on the "HTC" logo and then turns off after trying a manual update. To be honest, I am not sure what firmware was attempted to be flashed because I didnt do it myself. I am just trying to help a friend here.
From what I gather, I need to either root the phone using WeakSauce and then try to unlock the bootloader via the HTCDev website. The problem is the phone doesnt boot for me to install weaksauce so I cant get root. Can someone kindly point me in the right direction?

Root phone by extracting boot.img unpacking repacking and flashing back on
Hi,
I want to root my phone by extracting the boot.img from my phone, editing the default.prop to make ro.secure=0 and ro.debuggable=1, and to flash it back on.
I have the boot.img from the android marshmellow I flashed on my phone, but I wasn't sure if it is changed after it was flashed. If someone knew if this was possible., it would be great

SD Card Randomly Died
Hi, I don't actually own this phone and am asking on behalf of one of my family members.
Recently they were using their phone and one of the apps on the SD card (they were using it at the time) started to run slow. They exited the app and found that the icons of all apps on the SD card reverted to the icon what shows when the SD card is removed. They then rebooted the phone and the first notification they got was that the SD card was unexpectedly removed, they then contacted me and I suggested that they connect it to their computer in an SD card reader, they said that the SD card isn't detected at all. I've looked at it myself and can confirm it isn't working (it doesn't even work in my phone).
Has anybody else experienced this problem with the phone and if so have you been able to fix it?

Problems moving whatsapp chats and media to another device
I've been using whatsapp on a samsung gs5. I'm in the process of moving over to a samsung gs7. (I have already registered the new sim card.) I backed up whatsapp on the old phone using google drive. The backup completed without any error. Then I opened whatsapp on the new phone and verified the number. I understood whatsapp was supposed to automatically restore the chats and media from google drive, but that didn't happen. Whatsapp created a new database and I started receiving messages right away. I copied the entire whatsapp folder off the old phone, backed up the new folder and moved the old folder into place. Whatsapp did not load it. None of the chats or media were visible. I was going to deinstall and reinstall whatsapp, but it's pre-installed on my phone so I can't do that. Is there a way to restore the chats and media from the old phone onto the new phone, preferably preserving the new chats and media? I emailed whatsapp support, but they take forever to respond so I'm trying here.

[GUIDE] How to Port MIUI from IUNI U810 to Gionee E7
All right folks, I have come across quite a few of the users requesting for the updated MIUI versions and the trouble with that crazy pittech forum and its arrogant developer ozn guy. I will no longer be using this device as I have given it to her after getting another device for myself. That said, I have decided to write a guide on porting MIUI to this device.
To business.
What do you need? WinRAR or WinZip. Thats it! And of course a computer.
STEP 1: Download the latest version either from the phone directly or from here.
STEP 2: Make a folder called MIUI somewhere like the Desktop or in some other drive where it is accessible easily to you. Under that copy over the latest rom file you downloaded as well as the "edits.rar" file you will get from here. Extract both to their respective folders.
STEP 3: You now have 2 options. I will call them 3a and 3b.
STEP 3a: This is the easier method. But it can get a bit outdated over course of time (or maybe not. Depending on whether Gionee decides to send any updates or not). Either way, head into the edits folder to find files such as "boot.img", "NON-HLOS.bin" etc and the folder "system". Select all and copy them. Now head over to the extracted folder of the latest MIUI and paste them there. It will ask you if you wish to replace about a 185 files. Accept it and replace them.
STEP 3b: This is just so you understand what you are doing. Following I will give a list of files that are a part of the edits.rar. You basically need to copy them over from the latest STOCK GIONEE firmware and paste them in the extracted folder of the latest rom.
NOTE: The files/folders with asterisk (*) may not be necessary. I do not have the time or patience to try and experiment with them now. I suggest you do it if you are interested. You just need to experiment with them.
STEP 4: This is fairly optional. Open up META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script with a good text editor and look into it. Google around and understand how it works. Then make any changes you deem fit. (such as including your name while the package installs). You may also open up the build.prop and play with it. Just be careful though. If you try to change the device name or too much, you could end up freaking heavenke when you try to access the "Stock Settings". Try it out if you wish to.
STEP 5: Well, quite obviously, you now need to go into the folder with rom extract, select all and then hit archive them. Choose the 'zip' instead of 'rar'. And thats pretty much it. Rename the zip file to whatever you want and share that here for others to enjoy. Also, you may head over to http://opengapps.org and download the pico package from there. Flash them and enjoy. All in all.. Tinker around.. Play with it.. You might fix the camera in omni 5.1.1 someday.. Who knows?

Samsung now bootloader locking Spreadtrum devices?
I think this has now happened to the Galaxy tab a Sm-t280 which is a spreadtrum sc8830 device.*
I have tried everything I know to root or get custom recovery on this device.*I have built root and custom recovery for a Spreadtrum sc8830 device before just fine.
However everything I flash on the Sm-t280 displays the 'Secure check fail: recovery' warning.*
Even stock repacked boot and recovery images don't work. So safe to say I think it's a locked bootloader?
Can anyone confirm my suspicions?

[Q] Is it possible to have HTC Blinkfeed on stock Android?
Hi everyone,
I have always been a big fan of HTC's blinkfeed launcher, but given the M9, and the fact that I got used to big screens, I have now a Nexus 6P.
I tried some similar apps such as Flipboard and Flow Home, but they don't feel the same.
I found some website explaining how to install HTC Sense to any phone, but I guess these old versions won't be Marshmallow compatible. (see here http://ift.tt/1QsoRmC)

DnG Raw capture on a cm13 (or perhaps an other AOSP based MM) rom

I'm looking for a solution for dng raw capture whilst running CM. (currently using the TS rom, but I wouldn't mind swapping for this) I tried the Oppo camera located elsewhere on XDA, but the raw module is only producing jpegs. I know that it's possible, because FreeDcam is creating perfectly working good dng files on the mi4c, the problem is that it's not focusing well on my unit (aka it gets the focus wrong 85%+ of the time) The Snapdragon camera supplied with the current TS cm13 version has raw capture, except the .raw files created cannot be opened with anything :) Did anyone have any success at all creating readable raw files on the mi4c?

Why exactly is the OPO so fast? (A discussion)
So... as the title says I wanted to talk to you all about something really simple...yet powerful. For anyone who has tried jgcaap's CM13 rom you'll know that the OPO is capable of extreme performance, easily beating my friends Nexus 6p in both benchmarks and real world usage... But the question is why? (And in case you are curious, the antutu test my friend and I did came out to: OPO - 75,000 ish, vs N6P 68,000 ish.) Once I flashed this rom, I was blown away, while before I felt the urge to upgrade to something newer... after flashing I've been prevented from buying anything new 2015+ because nothing has performed better than my OPO now. It's like a Super OPO now!
I've used the Moto X Pure, the Nexus 6p, the HTC m8/M9, and NONE of them felt anywhere near as instant fast as my OPO running jgcaap's rom. Why is this? Especially compared to the SD808 and SD810. Did OnePlus just choose some magical super variant of the SD801? I've done various testing and some of the results were interesting, I noticed that the ram's r/w speeds on the OPO were are average twice as fast as the other phones I had tested. Interesting! I did not get a chance to test the internal r/w speeds but I presume that must also be a factor. The biggest difference is that everything on my OPO just "goes". It never hangs, everything opens instantly, and apps that require a longer loading time always finish faster on the OPO. I've even underclocked the OPO to a mere 1200mhz, and it still flies past the others. What is this magic?
What are your thoughts guys? Why does the OPO's SD801 perform much better than an SD808 or SD810? Do you all think it's just the processor? Or something else?

Contacts App filtering question
Does anyone know if there is a way to add the filtering options to the contacts app instead of just the contacts in the dialler area?
Samsung seem to have removed the "display only contacts with phone numbers" from the contacts app... which means when I sync the phone with my google account, it syncs ALL my gmail contacts down as well.
So my contacts app is flooded with hundreds of contacts with random names and email addresses from Gmail that I rarely use, and it takes me ages to navigate through to find the contact I want to call or message. In the grand scheme of things, it's a minor annoyance really... but it's something i really hate about this phone now and it makes me dread opening the contacts app.
Just wondering if it's an option I've missed somewhere or if anyone knows a workaround for it?

Z5 Push notifications in deep sleep
Hey,
I have an issue with my z5. Every time my phone is in deep sleep I hardly get push notifications from whatsapp or other apps. I tested push notification fixer (heartbeat 5min), uninstall greenify and amplify. But nothing helped for all the time. Sometimes it is OK and then it's worst. With WiFi 5ghz and mobile data it's worst, with 2, 4 GHz it is OK most of the time.
I am on .185 with andropluskernel v24

Help a newbie out with some ROM questions???
Please let me know if this is posted in the wrong place, and I'll happily move it.
I've been an android user for a bunch of years now, A Nokia N900 with Maemo was my last non-android smartphone. But in that time, I haven't done much to keep up with the custom ROM side of things. I've rooted my phones once or twice, and my device is currently not rooted.
Recently, I've become frustrated enough with my Note 4 that I want to learn more about the custom ROMs. But I don't even know where to begin. All the posts about the ROMs uses words that I'm not familiar with, but I'm sure mean a lot to someone who knows. Words like TWRP, nandroid, and gapps. I also find that I'm not sure if they will work on my phone, or brick it. I don't see where it says "will work on Sprint Note 4 SM-N910P". I'm also not sure how to go about comparing features of the different ROMs.
**Basically, what I'm looking for is a guide to get me started on this. Some introduction so that I dive deeper into it. And also some recommendations on what are good ROMs to use.** Links would be greatly appreciated.
What I want out of a ROM is:
Basic functinality (calls, 4g, texts, etc.)
Good battery life
Better performance (less hangs, snappier in the menus)
Compatibility with the play store & apps
The basic pen functionality would be nice (for Evernote)
No or minimal loss in the camera quality

Unwanted uncontrolled downloads?
My micromax A190 keeps getting porn site popups and adult apps are automatically downloaded. This happens whenever I connect to a Wi-Fi. Even when I have not allowed third party install the apps keep downloading? Why?

If i flash my phone can Logcat show this?
Hey guys,
I flashed my phone, and now i want to know if Logcat can show this. My phone will repaired by a samsung technic and i hope he cant see this.
Atm i have my phone at home, maybe i can delete the logs via App, or what ever? I uses google and i found some "guides" they told me that
Logcat can only show EMEI, Apk errors and other stuff.
I hope you can help me by this,

Phone randomly shuts off when sun is inserted
Hi I have an issue with my Samsung Galaxy J7, I'm running the only stock rom and kernel available from that forum so I decided to post here since there isn't much support there.When i have my sim inserted My phone will always shut off when the screen is off but not when im using it. the only way to get it back on is to do a battery pull or in my case, I load up the Odin screen and select restart to save time. I've tried getting a new sim but the problem is still there..oddly enugh theres no problem when the sim is inserted while then phone is in airplane mode. Can anybody give me a clue about what to do? I've tried installing different firmawares from sammobile via Odin but to no avail

Change Voicemail
Can anyone change their voicemail provider? If I try to change it, it's greyed out. I'd like to set it to Google Voice but nothing seems to work. It's already set to go there, but it'd be nice to see my voicemail in the dialer as well as in Hangouts.

Super virus please help (odin)
I am stumped! Long story short i have a customers device( i work as an AUTH DEALER for MetroPCS) that had a nasty popup device. One of those imfamous FBI virus asking for money. Completely locked the device. Anyway the customer didnt know gmail and PW so he couldnt master reset. ( i know now he could). I decided to flash the STOCK ROM obtained through Samsung firmware website. I flashed via ODIN. It was a success, no failing at all. The device booted as new phone, apps got optimized and all. BUT the FBI virus was still on the device popping up locking you out, forcing you to remove battery. THIS IS AFTER flashing stock OS directly from the samsung website. So i then decide to master reset thinking the stock ROM would allow me to setup as normal. NOPE. After reset its still requiring the GMAIL and PW to setup the device. I dont understand because the OEM rom was flashed successfully. Yet the FRP lock is still enabled and the device locked out. How do i flash this rom so that it becomes STOCK with no FRP lock??? ANY tips welcome as ive posted in other forums and got no response....:silly::silly::silly::eek:

SD card corrupted whats broken here?
So my SD card (Samsung Pro plus 32GB) just got corrupted, I dont know how, but maybe from me flashing a new firmware or something.

REMIX OS - Best video player best settings
Hi all. Been using Remix OS on the MOJO and loving it, but having some issues with media file playback. I usually use SPMC but I can't seem to set it so that that playback is smooth. I'm getting judders and stutters here and there, most noticeable (but not exclusively) on PAL 50Hz content and when the camera pans. Is there a different media player I should try, or what would the optimum settings be for the MOJO to produce smooth playback? I only have a fairly standard Samsung LE32C450. Thanks all.

April patch is draining my battery
Hello.
Since I updated my battery is draining fast. In plane mode and battery saving mode, it last for 14 hours. This all after a factory reset with any app installed
As you can see in the attached screenshots there are no wakelocks, and I didn't used it too much, but the phone is always hot
Is someone else experiencing this?

App Drawer Empty
Basically my app drawer is now empty and I cant figure why... Google settings app is the only exception.
The rest of my apps do not show yet they are still in application manager and all work fine :confused:
- I have checked through Nova settings, restarted and reinstalled did nothing.
- I then found that even after defrosting Touchwiz, the TW app drawer was also empty.
- I then reinstalled Google Play & Services but still the app drawer doesn't show any of my apps.
Using Nova Prime 4.3-beta7
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005 Int Lte
Rooted Lollipop 5.0.1 Stock ROM
Can anyone advise if they have experienced this issue, at the very least this issue is logged.

sc7731g processor it has no wipe option like mediatek processors . i have checked and downloaded a software like sp tools called spd tools however it needs a .pac file to flash with . if any one can help me or if an existing canvas 3 user can make one it would help me unbrick my phone. micromax service center wont help as my phone shows its rooted . any help or suggestion would be most welcome

PSA: Nexus 6P Software Charging Issue
So I think that there might be a possible software charging issue with the 6P. I'm running the latest April 2nd build (MHC19Q). Started back a week ago. I went to charge my phone with the supplied OEM charger, and noticed that it wasn't charging. I then unplugged it, and tried reversing the cable, only to be met with a rapidly blinking charging indicator and still no charge. I tried the USB Type A to Type C adapter that came with the device and an old AC wall adapter and saw that it was charging. I then thought my two month old OEM charger died on me. I was about to order a new one online, until I decided to see if anyone else had this issue. I looked around and found this reddit page. http://ift.tt/1rpruS0
A couple people on the page mentioned rebooting the phone and clearing out the cache. I thought that it couldn't be something so simple. I thought that, surely I had to have reboot my phone at some point over the week, but as I thought about it, I realized I had not. So I powered my phone off, and then back on. Plugged it into the OEM charger and it worked. Didn't even need to clear out the cache. I couldn't believe I didn't think to do the most simple troubleshooting tip.
I never had this issue prior to the April update. I'm wondering if it might be a possible bug in the software that regulates the power coming through the USB Type C to Type C cable, since it didn't happen with the Type A to Type C. Hopefully this post helps for anyone with the same issue.

Here is a simple boot animation for Omnirom. It has an old school 1985 feel to it.
It is 1080x1920 resolution.
Be sure to rename it bootanimation.zip and put it in /system/media in place of the original file. You can rename the original to bootanimation.bak, if you want to save it for later.

Backup using MtkDroidTools
Is there anyone still using the handset on the stock ROM or can go back to stock rom and make a back up using the MTK Droid Tools,
My device got bricked as i wiped out the system partitions in the internal MMC where the ROM is stored.

HTC ONE SV Bricked cant reload bootloader
Hi,
Please can someone help me with an K2#ul_C9, it is bricked and stuck on bootloop. I can access bootloader but i cant reboot-bootloader from fastboot or even from the phone, and cant get to recovery. When i send Reboot Bootloader is restarts on bootloop.

Phone won't turn ON or Charge.
Hey there , i came to you because i think my phone done a short circuit, it was ON and pluged in an inactive USB port on my PC which i've plugged internaly just after.
Then i noticed that the low battery LED on the OnePlus doesn't blink anymore. First of all i thought about a complete discharge. But no charging LED. I've plugged the phone on the power adapter : No LED. This is when i started to freak out.
I've took appart the phone, removed the battery, mesured the voltage : 3.77 Volts. The battery is normaly 4.35 Volts.
Is it a big gap even if there is always a tolerance ?
Is my battery is dead ? Or something shorten the motherboard ?
I don't want to buy a new battery if this won't solve the issue, and i have no schematics to do a continious testing with my multimeter on the motherboard..

Connecting a 24v appliance to Raspberry Pi.
Hello, I am trying to do an Internet of Things project with the help of a Raspberry Pi. While most of the project is complete, there is one small thing I am stuck at. I need to connect a solenoid valve to the Pi. The valve needs a voltage of 24v-36v to operate. I connected three 9v batteries together in series to operate it. The valve opens when the voltage is applied and closes when it not. I want to control the opening and closing of the valve by the Pi's GPIO pins. I'm using a NPN 2N3904 transistor for that. However, it's not working. The circuit works sometimes and doesn't work other times when I manually pull and put in the GPIO pin. It never works with code. Is the 27v causing problems with the Pi? What can I do? Is there another way to control it apart from NPN transistors?

Strange colors in animation
Recently the touchscreen of my Z1 (C6902) cracked so I got it repaired by a local service guy as the phone is not worth the genuine screen now, at least IMO. Anyhow that's another matter to discuss.
My problem is that the screen works flawless in Stock Sony Android but if I flash CM or AOSPA the display shows some strange colors when showing animations or playing videos.
I have attached a video for reference.

RK3066 Malaysk ROM GPS long time to lock due to satellites?
Hey guys, so been using the Malaysk ROM's for a while and even though it does work, sometimes it takes a long time for GPS to get a good signal (yes I understand needing clear view, weather, etc), but the one thing I noticed when looking at the GPS monitor, if you look at the picture of the map the image for satellites that are used .... it looks like they are satellites on the other side of the world, whereas i'm located in Florida, USA, so shouldn't it be using GPS satellites closer to my location?
Does anybody know if this is actually the case or am I misinterpreting it? How can I set it to use closer satellites, or maybe set the location? I tried in settings to make sure everything was set to correct time zone, etc, but can't find anything else related to GPS.

Unable to use screen lock
I have a Moto G 2014 running cm13. Everything was fine until my pin code stopped working and I was able to unlock my phone with a swipe. However, I'm able to lock the phone only if I touch the lock icon on my lockscreen after which it says " Your device will stay locked until you manually unlock it". My lock button does not lock the phone to a pin code as it did before.
I haven't activated Smart Lock or changed any setting and this kinda seems out of the blue.
Help would be appreciated. Thanks :)

Upgrading to 6.0/Rooting on Ubuntu
Having some difficulties and hoping for some help.
I'm on zv6, rooted, would really like to upgrade to MM, but can't seem to find the current way to do that.
Every way I see on here requires a Windows computer at some point, but I have no access to a windows comp at all.
Is there a way to flash up to MM just on ubuntu?
Sorry if it's very obvious, I just cant seem to find it anywhere.

Note 5 - N920W8 Firmware with German / Deutsch Language

I have recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (N920W8 Variant) running Android 5.1.1 from Rogers in Vancouver BC, but unlike other Samsung Phones I have bought in the past, German Language is not available. The selections are limited to English, French, Spanish, Chinese (Simplified/Traditional), and Korean. After rooting the phone and installing Language Enabler and force-setting the locale, only half of the menus and apps are in German. I am looking for a compatible ROM that I can flash onto my phone.
Can anyone with the same Note 5 Model / N920W8 model on a different provider i.e. Telus/Bell etc.. do a quick check to see whether German language is enabled on their firmware?
Does the Infinity Rom 6.0.1 have German Language option available?

Hi, i need to have the remote control of my Lenovo tablet (now there is"LC" firmware changed).
I noticed that through Teamviewer, even if I installed a proper add-on for Lenovo, my tablet is listed in my devices list and when you try to connect it the connection is aborted.
I don't know why.
I tried to use Logmein but it seems that you can't access an Android device.
Something else or trick is good acceptable!!!

I created my own logo in 1440x2560 for my s6 edge, but i don't know how to integrate it in my phone. it is not a gif, just a jpg picture.
Is it possible to replace my boot logo? i got actually a orange ( my company sim card) boot that i want to remove/ replace or just integrating my boot image.
I have a g925f MM 6.0.1 european s6 edge root with TWRP recovery.
Is it possible to have a flashable zip in recovery where i can replace my logo?

XT1572 Style with Band 12 and Band 20?
I've done quite a bit of searching on this question, without being able to find a definitive answer. I have a EU XT1572 with mostly stock 6.0. I travel extensively and I want to enable LTE Band 12 for use on T-Mobile when I'm in the US. The specs for this phone I saw before I bought it said that Band 12 was enabled, but it isn't, and my IMEI SV is 01. I seem to have found a solution here:

However, it seems like this solution will effectively convert my XT1572 to a XT1575, at least as far as the modem is concerned. My issue is that I'm concerned that I might lose Band 20 coverage if I do this.
I would normally make the changes by trial and error and test myself, but the frequency of my travel makes it difficult to do that, and I'd prefer to have a working solution in place before I need these respective frequencies. Is there a way to do what I want, or would I have have to flash XT1572 EU and XT1575 modems before I enter the respective Band 12 and Band 20 coverage areas?

Kindle Fire HD 8.9 stuck in fastboot mode

Today I got notification for my marshmallow update for my HTC one e8. But I had TWRP recovery in my mobile and S-ON. and somewhere on youtube I watched a video how to get OTA update on rooted HTC ONE devices so follow the following steps :
1) Get back to your stock recovery : - which did by taking the recovery.img file from update package and flashing the recovery using fastboot.[which removes twrp with this new recovery].
2) then i started installing the update which I think successfully installed.
but when it rebooted it stuck at the boot screen. Then after 3-4 hours I factory reset my cell by visiting boot loader. But nothing happens and now I am stuck . Please help me how to recover my phone

Has anybody here had their phone repaired via Verizon's Asurion insurance?
I'd paid $180 in Asurion phone insurance as part of my Verizon plan over the last 18 months I've had my G3, and I think it may be time to finally use it.
Some time within the past several days, it appears I must have pressed too hard on my screen at some point because now, when the screen is dark/black, there is a reasonably noticeable 'smudge' (for complete lack of a better word) inside my screen that is a lighter color than the rest of everything else. I can't really seem to think of the correct words right now to describe it, but it's basically what you'd imagine would happen when you press a screen too hard. The fortunate thing is, it's really only noticeable when the screen is dark, but it's still enough to drive me nuts.
I had a few questions about Asurion. ~3 years ago, I paid my $100 deposit and sent my old Galaxy S3 in because I broke the screen. They sent me back a brand new phone. It was sealed in the original stock box and it came with everything a new phone does (headphones, cable, charger, all the paperwork.) Plus the phone was very clearly not a refurb; it was flawless. I was under the impression I was meant to either have the screen repaired on my phone or get a refurb, but I absolutely got a brand new phone. Maybe I was lucky.
But I understand that my experience likely wasn't typical. So I want to know, from people who have sent their faulty/broken phones in to Asurion:
- Did they fix your problem and send your old phone back? Or,
- Did you get a refurb? Or,
- Did you get a new phone?
Normally, I wouldn't care, but my serious concern is that I might get a new or refurb phone that has an updated OS. This brings me to my next question(s).
- If I get a new/refurb phone back from Asurion that is running 47A or something else relatively new, will I still be able to unlock my bootloader, install TWRP, root, and just generally get everything back to the way I have it now, loaded with customization and modifications? Or do the newer G3 updates keep the phone locked down permanently, in which case I'll be SOL? What's the most recent software update to which I'll be able to make all of my modifications to?
Sorry for the wall of text, but I just want to make sure I get everything cleared up. I would really like to get this screen issue repaired ASAP, but if there's any chance at all that I'll be stuck on stock un-rooted forever when I get the phone back, I'm not going to take that chance. But if it's trivial to unlock the bootloader, install TWRP, and root the newer updates like 47A, I'll be sending my phone in ASAP.

Some time within the past several days, it appears I must have pressed too hard on my screen at some point because now, when the screen is dark/black, there is a reasonably noticeable 'smudge' (for complete lack of a better word) inside my screen that is a lighter color than the rest of everything else. I can't really seem to think of the correct words right now to describe it, but it's basically what you'd imagine would happen when you press a screen too hard. The fortunate thing is, it's really only noticeable when the screen is dark, but it's still enough to drive me nuts.
I had a few questions about Asurion. ~3 years ago, I paid my $100 deposit and sent my old Galaxy S3 in because I broke the screen. They sent me back a brand new phone. It was sealed in the original stock box and it came with everything a new phone does (headphones, cable, charger, all the paperwork.) Plus the phone was very clearly not a refurb; it was flawless. I was under the impression I was meant to either have the screen repaired on my phone or get a refurb, but I absolutely got a brand new phone. Maybe I was lucky.
But I understand that my experience likely wasn't typical. So I want to know, from people who have sent their faulty/broken phones in to Asurion:
- Did they fix your problem and send your old phone back? Or,
- Did you get a refurb? Or,
- Did you get a new phone?
Normally, I wouldn't care, but my serious concern is that I might get a new or refurb phone that has an updated OS. This brings me to my next question(s).
- If I get a new/refurb phone back from Asurion that is running 47A or something else relatively new, will I still be able to unlock my bootloader, install TWRP, root, and just generally get everything back to the way I have it now, loaded with customization and modifications? Or do the newer G3 updates keep the phone locked down permanently, in which case I'll be SOL? What's the most recent software update to which I'll be able to make all of my modifications to?
Sorry for the wall of text, but I just want to make sure I get everything cleared up. I would really like to get this screen issue repaired ASAP, but if there's any chance at all that I'll be stuck on stock un-rooted forever when I get the phone back, I'm not going to take that chance. But if it's trivial to unlock the bootloader, install TWRP, and root the newer updates like 47A, I'll be sending my phone in ASAP.
